Oklahoma Health Center Clinical Pastoral Education Institute Programs

The Institute offers Resident, Extended, and Summer programs in Clinical Pastoral Education, a seven week Medical Grand Rounds for Clergy seminar, a monthly Ethics Journal Club and several Annual Conferences for clergy and other church workers.

RESIDENT PROGRAM

This is a full-time program of 40+ hours per week. The Program begins in late August and continues until the end of the following August, providing four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).

Stipend: $28,500 per year

Tuition: $1,000 per year, deducted from the Stipend each pay period

EXTENDED PROGRAM

This is a part-time program beginning in March and September and continuing for six months, providing one unit of CPE. This group meets from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each Monday. Each participant needs to complete an additional 8 to 10 hours per week of clinical practice at the placement site.

Tuition: Tuition is $250 per each unit, paid half at beginning of the unit and the other half after three months.

Honorarium: After completing the unit, we provide you with a $1,000 honorarium.

SUMMER PROGRAM

This is a full-time program of 40+ hours per week. The Program begins the first week of June and ends mid-August of each year.

Tuition: Tuition is often billed to the student's seminary or undergraduate college or university.

Honorarium: The student receives a $1,000 honorarium at the end of the Unit.

If you are an international applicant, you will have to obtain appropriate documentation from U.S. Immigration which usually implies a visa and a U.S. Social Security number. Therefore, international applicants should have such documentation approved at least six (6) months prior to the start of the program.
